Privacy Policy

The short version

• No accounts or passwords. Email is optional for the launch list.
• No advertising or third-party tracking pixels.
• Cost Forensics parses your export entirely in your browser — your usage data is never uploaded.
• We use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that does not fingerprint visitors.
• We don't sell or rent personal data.

What we collect

Server logs (standard)

Like any website, our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention. Cloudflare retains this per its own privacy policy; we do not export or analyze it.

Aggregate analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us page-view counts and referrers without cookies or cross-site tracking. No individual profiles are built.

What we do NOT collect

No payment information, API keys, prompts, responses, filenames, or LLM usage exports. If you voluntarily join the launch list, the submitted email address is stored for that purpose.

Client-side tools

Cost Forensics runs 100% in JavaScript in your browser. Imported content is processed in memory on your device and discarded when you close the tab. If you choose "Save local baseline," only aggregate cost, request, cache, and retry metrics are stored in your browser's local storage. Neither the export nor the baseline is transmitted to us or any third party.

Your rights

You can remove a saved forensic baseline by clearing this site's browser storage. To request deletion of an email submitted to the launch list, or for other privacy questions, contact hello@llm-cost.io.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and the new policy will be published here before taking effect.
